Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") outlines the rules and guidelines for using the Loyalteey platform. It applies to all users — both customers and business owners. This AUP supplements our Terms of Service and is incorporated by reference.

2. Customer Conduct

2.1 Fair Use of Loyalty Programs

  • Present only your own Loyalteey QR code when visiting businesses. Do not share, lend, or allow others to use your QR.
  • Do not attempt to earn points for purchases you did not make.
  • Do not create multiple accounts to earn duplicate points or exploit welcome bonuses.
  • Do not attempt to claim rewards you are not eligible for.
  • Do not manipulate your birthday to gain birthday bonus multipliers.

2.2 Reviews and Content

  • Only review businesses you have genuinely visited and transacted with.
  • Reviews must be honest and reflect your actual experience.
  • Do not post fake, paid, or incentivized reviews (positive or negative).
  • Do not include personal attacks, hate speech, threats, or discriminatory language in reviews.
  • Do not include personal information of business owners or staff in reviews.
  • Do not use reviews to extort businesses for free products or services.

2.3 QR Code Security

  • Do not photograph, copy, or distribute your QR code on social media or public forums.
  • If your physical Loyalteey ID card is lost or stolen, regenerate your QR immediately from the app.
  • Do not create counterfeit Loyalteey ID cards or QR codes.

3. Business Owner Conduct

3.1 Honest Operations

  • Award points fairly and consistently based on your configured price brackets.
  • Do not selectively deny points to legitimate customers.
  • Honor all valid reward claims. Do not refuse to fulfill rewards that customers have legitimately earned.
  • Provide accurate business information including name, address, hours, and category.
  • Do not create fake businesses or register businesses you do not own or operate.

3.2 Promo Blast Guidelines

  • Promo blasts must contain truthful and non-misleading content.
  • Do not send blasts advertising products or services you cannot actually provide.
  • Respect the blast frequency limits of your subscription plan.
  • Do not use blasts to send offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate content.
  • Do not use blasts for purposes unrelated to your business (political messaging, spam, etc.).

3.3 Customer Banning

  • Bans should only be used for legitimate reasons (fraud, abuse, safety concerns).
  • Do not ban customers based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristics.
  • Do not use bans as retaliation for negative (but honest) reviews.

3.4 Staff Management

  • Only invite staff members who are actual employees or authorized representatives of your business.
  • Remove staff access promptly when an employee leaves your business.
  • You are responsible for all actions taken by staff members under your business account.

3.5 KYC and Verification

  • Submit only genuine, unaltered identity documents for KYC verification.
  • Do not submit documents belonging to another person.
  • Provide truthful information in all verification requests.

4. Technical Restrictions

All users agree not to:

  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the Service.
  • Attempt to bypass, disable, or circumvent security features (including screenshot protection, certificate pinning, and jailbreak/root detection).
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the application.
  • Probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities of the Service without written authorization.
  • Intercept, monitor, or modify network traffic to or from the Service.
  • Use the Service to transmit malware, viruses, or other harmful code.
  • Overload, flood, or interfere with the Service's infrastructure.
  • Access accounts, data, or systems that you are not authorized to access.

5. Enforcement

Violations of this AUP may result in:

  • Warning: First-time or minor violations may result in a warning notification.
  • Feature Restriction: Specific features (e.g., reviews, promo blasts) may be temporarily disabled.
  • Account Suspension: Repeated or serious violations may result in temporary account suspension.
  • Account Termination: Severe violations (fraud, forgery, harassment) will result in permanent account termination and forfeiture of all points, rewards, and subscription fees.

All enforcement actions are logged to our audit trail. Loyalteey's enforcement decisions are final.

6. Reporting Violations

If you encounter behavior that violates this AUP, please report it:

  • In-App: Use the report/flag feature on reviews or business profiles.

We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly. Reports can be made anonymously.
