Cookie Policy
Effective April 21, 2026
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences and improve your browsing experience. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and device identifiers.
2. How We Use Cookies
Loyalteey uses cookies and similar technologies in the following ways:
2.1 Essential Cookies
These are required for the Service to function properly. They cannot be disabled.
- Authentication: Session tokens to keep you logged in during your visit (web application).
- Security: CSRF protection tokens to prevent cross-site request forgery.
- Load Balancing: Server routing to ensure consistent service delivery.
2.2 Functional Cookies
These remember your preferences and choices to enhance your experience.
- Language Preferences: Your selected language for the interface.
- Display Settings: Theme preferences (light/dark mode) on the web application.
2.3 Analytics Cookies
These help us understand how users interact with the Service so we can improve it.
- Usage Patterns: Pages visited, features used, and navigation paths.
- Performance: Page load times and error tracking.
We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels. We do not serve ads on the Loyalteey platform.
3. Mobile Application
The Loyalteey mobile app does not use browser cookies. Instead, it uses:
- Encrypted Storage: Authentication tokens are stored in encrypted device storage (never in plain AsyncStorage).
- Device Identifiers: Anonymous device identifiers for push notification delivery via Firebase Cloud Messaging.
4. Third-Party Cookies
Our Service may include limited third-party services that set their own cookies:
- Stripe: Payment processing cookies when completing subscription payments. Governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts: Font delivery for the landing page. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
5. Managing Cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings:
- Block All Cookies: You can configure your browser to block all cookies. Note that this may prevent some features of the web application from working properly.
- Delete Cookies: You can delete existing cookies through your browser's settings or privacy controls.
- Browser-Specific Instructions: Each browser has its own cookie management settings. Check your browser's help documentation for instructions.
Blocking essential cookies may prevent you from using the Loyalteey web application. The mobile app will continue to function regardless of browser cookie settings.
6. Data Retention
- Session Cookies: Deleted when you close your browser.
- Persistent Cookies: Retained for up to 12 months, or until you delete them.
- Analytics Data: Aggregated analytics data is retained for up to 24 months.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable laws. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
